We'll done all!!! I skunked out in 58. Got there ahead of the elk and someone else got them behind me. Anyone here familiar with the Italian Peaks/Scott peak side/area? First time in there. Tried to time them getting pushed out of Montana, didn't succeed this time.

Here's where I'm at for the year thus far! I took a nice 5 point bull with my bow the last week of September in the Island Park zone - which you may have already seen on the IdahoMan website. I took a friend on his first elk hunt ever and he scored on a great general rifle season 6 point bull! I wish all of my hunts were that easy! I've still got an extra whitetail tag in my pocket, along with a general regular deer tag. I've been grinding away at the late archery hunts - and I'm quickly learning just how difficult those are! Here's hoping I can punch a tag or two before the end of the month!

Beautiful country though, and you've got a year under your belt getting to know the area. I wish I knew more about Italian Peaks/Scott Peak.
